Hi Vespa200

I think an original Norman Motobyk rear stand will be hard to find.. at least I have had no success after years of looking!

However autocycles like the Motobyk used the same size of wheels as many other makes so there is a reasonable chance of finding something from another bike that would do. Danny at Mopedland http://www.mopedland.ukfsn.org/jumble has one from an Excelsior listed. If you haven't come across Mopedland before it is a great place to get many of the bits and pieces that might be necessary to get your bike back on the road. Danny himself (actually Mark Daniels) is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

The only reason I can think of as to why your pedals don't rotate is that your bike has been fitted with a back pedalling brake. If this is the case there will be a rod running from the left hand pedal crank and all that you will need to do is run the bike forward forcing the back wheel to turn to release the brake. The back pedalling brake is a handy feature as it saves having to operate the clutch and back brake with the same hand. I have been told that it was an option on De-Luxe versions of the Motobyk.

Good luck with your Motobyk!
