Model C restoration
Hi, think this is my first post, just a quick intro, been a 2 stroke fan for years (since I started riding) and done a few race rep 250's up recently. Mostly RD/LC 80's bikes.
Bought a Model C off a workmate a few years ago, where it has been slung in the back of the shed ever since. So last month we decided to strip it down, and give it a spruce up. Not a full resto, as I don't think it will be worth the investment, so paint and re-do the engine. I will stick a few pics up along the way, when I find some of the bike when I got it, hopefully on a disc somewhere, as PC has crashed and died a few times since
I don't expect to get a quick (if any responce) but it will bring a bit of life into the forum (been a member on the last one, and made the trek to Ashford once, shortly after I bought it)
I can't seem to get on the old forum at all now, but I do remember a great rebuild of a Model C from a guy in Mexico, if anyone has the thread or pics I was hoping to copy and use for reference, when doing mine???. Don't know how long it will take, but I'll keep popping back and add as I progress it, My daughters taken an interest too, so that's sparked the interest mostly.
anyway my waffle is over.

Hi Norman-Rustbucket
I can't remember the Mexican Model C restoration but I put one back on the road a couple of years ago and can send you photos and info about spares if there is anything you need. I got the engine reconditioned by Villiers Services. The bike goes well and I have used it for many NACC runs.
I hope you enjoy the restoration and have a lot of fun riding it.
Good Luck
