Nippy seats
Hello Normaneers' everywhere'(who is old enough to remember Uncle Mac from Childrens Hour?)I am intending to use my Nippy on a run organised by the NACC but the seat on my Nippy is so uncomfortable that I am not sure how long I could survive riding it.I have tried extra padding etc. to no effect.I seem to remember that the club had for sale some new seats,do any still exist? If not I might have to try a cushion.I have another Nippy that I have got running but there appears to be something a bit fishy about the registration number and the DVLA won't recognise it so I will have to get an age related number for it."Big Norman",my B1s and I have been wandering around the lanes in these lovely summer evenings, great fun.Cheers Paul

Re: Nippy seats
Hello Kinamann,I tried the Velo Classic site but it seems that the only way to get through to their shop is by phone.I might try again sometime but for the moment I am resigned to putting some extra padding on the seat. The reason for the problem is that at anything above pottering speed the vibration through the seat is bad enough to dislodge my fillings.I suspect that the main bearings may be worn but I do not fancy stripping the engine to find out,as it runs pretty well as it is and I don't ride far or fast on the Nippy.I had a similar problem with my A.J.S.and found that the main bearings were turning in the crankcase.
