Machine Model and Date Question Empty Machine Model and Date Question

Post  GeoffB Thu Mar 26, 2015 10:19 am

I'm new to Normans but am about to start restoring a Nippy. The engine number is 904B/280 and the frame number is B05057. Can anybody help with a Mark number and year of manufacture?
Thanks

Hello Geoff, do you have a picture of your Nippy which will help to identify it? My Nippy numbers seem close to yours and mine is registered as a 1961 model so it still needs an MOT test which is a bit of a joke each year. Last year the examiner said" look at that, you have done a grand total of 250 miles this year". For parts for your restoration log onto Icene Cam where there are adverts for people who might help.Transfers available from the Veteran Motorcycle club shop.Paul

Machine Model and Date Question Empty My Nippy Pictures

Thanks for the reply - as it happens I have a Frances Barnett registered on 01 01 1960 so I'm totally with you on the 1960 MoT cutoff. I'd like to insert an image but as yet I haven't figured out how to do it. If you feel comfortable with e-mail then my email is geoffrey.botting @ btinternet.com. Otherwise I'll persevere with putting a picture in a forum post.
Thanks again
Geoff
