I have a Nippy MK2 1958,is there a proper way of adjusting the front wheel as when I pull the brake on the wheel moves to the side. I tried to adjust the spindle nut,but this broke before the wheel stopped moving to the side
the springs are OK

My 1958 MK2 Norman Nippy Empty front wheel brake

Hi, I am not sure what you mean. On my Nippy there are two long threaded nuts which screw onto the spindle until they butt on the nuts that lock the bearing cones. Then the clamp bolts on the leading links are tightened so that the long threaded nuts cannot turn or move. Therefore the wheel cannot move sideways. if it does I would look at the leading links. There may be a spacer or some washers also on the spindle so that you do not pull the forks in.

Thanks for your advice, it looks if I have a soft spring that allows the wheel to dive to the side when the front
brake is pulled on
